MEET THE TEAM
We’re Connor & Ashtyn. A husband and wife videography team based out of Northern Colorado.
We met working at a tourist attraction in South Dakota in the summer of 2017. We bonded over a mutual love of film making, travel, and a million things between.
Over the past several years we’ve embarked on countless adventures together. Van life and traveling the US while living on the road, becoming puppy parents, running a business, and recently getting married in October of 2023.
We’re on year six of filming weddings full time and we’re just as passionate about this job as we were all those years ago. We’re living our dream and we’ll never take that for granted!
ASHTYN KINGSBURY
My journey to filming weddings is a little untraditional; but one I feel happened so organically. My calling in life I like to say.
I had no education or background in the videography industry, and instead started my journey finding any excuse to use a camera to document real life moments happening in my own world. Documenting family trips, filming videos of my friends while growing up in South Dakota, and creating tiny films in National Parks - simply so I could relive them over and over and over again.
My love for documenting my own life, quickly shifted to a love of documenting the lives of others, and just as quickly as that realization had occurred - I was ready to dive in. I filmed my first wedding in 2018 and dropped out of college shortly after to turn this dream into a reality. I’ve filmed nearly 200 weddings since then and it’s been the most rewarding journey of my life. I still pinch myself that something that was once a hobby for me turned into my full time career - but that love and passion is just as strong as it was day one.
CONNOR KINGSBURY
Connors videography background started in the corporate / adventure space. He spent several years creating films for non-profit organizations and working heavily in the brand industry.
As the scope of our work started to evolve and I could no longer run this business alone, he came on to the team full time in 2020 and has become equal parts as important in running Ashtyn Schae Films ever since.
Connor specializes in drone work, audio, Super 8, and bringing all the best vibes to any wedding day.
